會議簡介：
本研討會由國家圖書館、漢學研究中心、拉脫維亞國家圖書館共同主辦，旨在探討中文書寫或印刷文本，於全球傳布的過程所引發之跨文化對話，並將於會議中將力求促進多面向的討論，特別是通過跨學科或比較方式的研究成果。
歷來的研究皆無法全面地呈現中國與各國文化交流的密切程度。幾個世紀以來，來自各國包括宗教或非宗教的知識內容湧入中國，形成了新興複雜的文化產物。而同樣的，中國本身的知識內容也以各種管道，傳布到世界各地，例如：宋朝的皇帝曾經賜贈高麗王室「九經」、史書、《太平御覽》、《文苑英華》等；耶穌會傳教士傅聖澤（Jean-Francoise Foucquet 1665-1741）將中國藏書帶往了法國；敦煌文獻在二十世紀流散多國等。這些流傳海外的漢籍文本，一方面加強了文化交流的力道，同時也深化了學術層面的認識。而在中國與外界幾乎斷絕往來的時期，比如文化大革命期間，這些流傳的文本成為各國研究中國文明的基點。如今，在全球大量的數位化計畫推動之下，這些原本典藏在各處的文本內容得以廣為公開，同時以虛擬的方式回歸其文化母國。
