三、學術活動

  1. 漢學院於2003年6月4日舉行Chinese Bridge Language Contest，有五名學生參加比賽，賽後舉行學期結束酒會。
  2. 萊頓國立民俗學博物館於2003年5月17日舉辦「今日亞洲」慶祝活動。活動包括：電影欣賞、中國搖滾樂、太極拳等表演。

一、學人動態

  1. 圖書館吳榮子館長榮獲美國Marquis Who's Who公司遴選，介紹刊於《Who's Who in the World》第20版，該書將於2002年12月出版。
  2. 臺灣大學語言教學中心林欣惠小姐，榮獲本院語言學教席職位，她於2002年10月底到任，為期三年。
  3. 中國國際圖書貿易總公司圖書館部汪彤經理、業務科朱敏小姐於2002年9月16日來本院圖書館參觀，並洽談購書合作事宜。
  4. 臺灣大學歷史系林偉盛副教授來本校國際亞洲研究院擔任訪問交換學者，由2002年10月 至2003年2月底止，為期五個月。
  5. 中央研究院語言學研究所李壬癸教授、臺灣史研究所翁佳音來圖書館參觀訪問。
  6. 高寶玲（Pauline van Gulik）——高羅佩（Robert Hans van Gulik）女兒，於2002年12月5日來本圖書館參觀「高羅佩藏書」。

三、學術活動

  1. 二年前本院教授們已決定將圖書館中文圖書的排列方式，改以圖書的大小排放在書架上。新館長上任後，即開始實施。館藏西方語文圖書的排列方式，早在18年前開始，以圖書的大小排放書架上。
  2. 為了慶祝荷屬東印度公司（VOC Dutch East I, Company）四百年，阿姆斯特丹博物館（Ryksmuseum, Amsterdam）由2002年10月10日至2003年2月9日舉行「當荷蘭遇見亞洲（De Nederlandse Ontmoeting Met Azie）1600-1950」特展，每個月有不同主題展。2003年1月是有關中國特展。

一、學人動態與學術交流

  1. 圖書館吳榮子館長將於2003年5月1日退休。她於2002年9月15日起放假。

  2. 臺灣詩人商禽於6月24日來本院圖書館參觀訪問。

  3. 《臨床針炙與東方醫學》國際雜誌Ken Rose夫婦於6月25日來本院圖書館參觀訪問，並收集資料。

  4. 日本九州大學大學院、人文科學研究院久保智之副教授於8月22日來本院圖書館參觀。

  5. 中國廈門市鄭成功紀念館何丙仲副館長於8月底來本院圖書館收集研究資料，為期兩個月。

  6. 中國廈門大學廈門大學南洋研究所聶德寧博士、歷史系侯真平副教授於8-10月來本院從事印尼公館檔案的編輯，為期三個月。

  7. 日本亞細亞大學矢琉美都子教授，於9月3日來本院圖書館參觀訪問。

  8. 國立臺灣師範大學國文系劉渼教授於9月4日來本院擔任交換教授，為期一年。

  9. 國立臺灣師範大學王靖賢於9月初來本院任交換學生，為期一年。

  10. 北京語言文化大學劉謙功老師於9月4日至明年3月3日來本院擔任交換學者，為期半年。

  11. 來自臺灣法律系學生陸正蕊（Angela Lu）於9月11日通過博士答辯，榮獲博士學位。論文題目“Inter-national Airline Alliances: EC Competition Low/US Antitrust Law and International Air Transport.

  3. 參加「中國基督教的構成國際研討會」學者一行20多人2002年6月6日來本院圖書館參觀。

  4. 美國哥倫比亞大學Ellen Zweig，2002年6月7日來本院圖書館參觀高羅佩藏書。

  5. 北京中央電視臺一行3人，2002年6月7日來本院拍攝電視節目「世界著名大學」、訪問柯雷院長（Prof Dr. Maghiel van Grevel）、教師、學生及圖書館。

五、校園活動
1 由本院田海教授（Prof.Dr. Barend Ter Haar）安排，於9月11日將《四庫全書珍本初集——別集》及一部分趙紫陽贈書，贈送給比利時魯汶大學圖書館。
2 由本院田海教授（Prof. Dr. Barend Ter Haar）安排，於10月中，將剩餘趙紫陽贈書，贈送給丹麥哥本哈根大學圖書館。
3 行政院新聞局為促進國際文化交流，增進國際人士對臺灣現況之瞭解與支持，特別於2001年11月13-22日在漢學院中庭舉辦「臺灣風情畫攝影展」，由臺北駐荷蘭代表處施克敏代表主持開幕儀式，並備中式午點招待來賓。為配合此一展覽，新聞局於11月21日晚上，放映「茶鄉流金」及「寶島頌」兩錄影帶，招待學者觀看。
4 本院收藏印尼公館檔案中有八塊木製匾額，於2001年9月懸掛於本院中庭牆上，屆時請了許多印尼華僑及有關人士前來參觀，並舉行慶祝酒會。
六、校外活動
1 由比利時漢學院、荷蘭萊頓大學漢學院、法國國立東方語文學院中文系等主辦，北京曲藝團、臺北曲藝團演出，傅維新先生等率領的中國傳統說唱曲藝歐洲學術演出團，於2001年11月9-10日在荷蘭演出三場，由於演出精彩，國外難得一見，吸引不少觀眾，三場場場爆滿。

一、學人動態

  1. Dr. Rint Sybesma 於2001 年1 月任職本院。

  2. Helga Lormans 於2001 年2 月1 日升任正式圖書館長，接任Linda de Lange 職位，負責中文系統ChinaBase 事宜。

  3. 2001 年5 月9 日學期結束，院內舉行酒會，同時歡送Ingrid d,Hooghe 離任。

  4. 中文期刊經已上網，讀者可經由www.leidenuniv.nl／tcc／bibliotheek 上網查閱1995 年以後的館藏。1995 年以前的中文期刊館藏，將儘快輸入電腦，以便讀者查閱。

  5. Masayuki Sato 博士榮獲蔣經國基金會獎助，留在本院從事博士後研究，由2001 年7 月1 日起，為期二年。

  6. 本院教師Hubert van Straten 於2001 年8 月1 日提早退休。

  7. 本院秘書Nicole Schouten 於2001 年8 月1 日離任。新秘書Dr. Arie Pols 將於2001 年8 月20 日到任。

  8. 國書館於2001 年7 月30 日至8 月3 日閉館一週，以便Teller Library 將書搬進本館。Teller Library 的典藏為本校前外事處Teller 先生由1978 年起收集之圖書資料，以西方語文書籍為主，內容為有關中、日及東亞研究書刊，共有一萬多冊。現將該批書刊移送本院圖書館。

  9. 由2001 年8 月24 日起，院務暫由Prof. Dr. Barend terHaar 和Prof. Dr. Axel Schneider 代理。

  1. Frans Paul van der Putten 於2001 年5 月23 日通過博士答辯，榮獲博士學位。他的博士論文題目是：CorporateBehavior and Political Risk : Dutch Companies in China 1903-1941 。

  2. Wu Yongping 於2001 年6 月5 日通過博士答辯，榮獲博士學位。他的博士論文題目是：In Search of an Explanationof SME-led Growth : State Survival, BureaucraticPolitics and Private Enterprise in the Making of the TaiwaneseEconomy（1950-1985）。

  3. Masayuki Sato 於2001 年6 月19 日通過博士答辯，榮獲博士學位。他的博士論文題目是： Confucian State andSociety of Li : A Study on the Political Thought of Xun Zi 。

六、校外活動

1.2001 年4 月15 日在Leiden CHIME（European Foundationfor Chinese Music Researeh）圖書館舉行中國內蒙古地區民間音樂演奏會，由Urna Chahartugi（聲樂）Burintegus（morin-khuur）， R. Zollitsch（zither）演出。4 月22 日他們將在阿姆斯特丹國家音樂廳演奏。
2.2001 年5 月20 日在Leiden CHIME（European Foundationfor Chinese Music Research）圖書館舉行中國古琴曲演奏會，邀請上海音樂學院戴曉蓮女士演奏。
3.2001 年6 月12 日CHIME 邀請四川歌劇團在該基金會表演川劇，由8 位音樂家介紹中國樂器，川劇唱腔及特別表演技術等等。6 月13 日該劇團在鹿特丹RotterdamseSchouwburg 表演。
