In order to promote and enhance the understanding of Sinological and Taiwan Studies resources in Taiwan for future Sinologists, the National Central Library is going to hold a three-day introductory workshop on archival research and digital humanities. The workshop contains a keynote speech, five lecture courses, two guided tours within NCL and a full day trip to two major historical sites in Taipei. The lecture topics include the introduction of electronic resources of NCL, National Archives Administration (NDC), Academia Sinica, Academia Historica and other universities in Taiwan imbued with the invited speakers abundant experiences with case studies. The event is free of charge and only opens to 20 students of foreign nationality currently in Taiwan. The registration is open until September 22. (The accommodations are not included.)
