Activity Name: The fourth course of Library Curriculum for International Scholars for CCS

On the morning of Wednesday, June 19th, 2024, the Center for Chinese Studies held the fourth course of ‘Library Curriculum for International Scholars’. As mentioned previously, the primary goal was to assist foreign scholars who have received either the ‘Research Grant for Foreign Scholars in Chinese Studies’ or ‘MOFA Taiwan Fellowship’ to fully utilize our library’s resources.

The lecturer was from the Special Collections Division’s assistant, Wu, I-Hsiu who introduced the origin of the Rare Books Room in the library, the story of how challenging it was to collect each item, and to teach scholars on how to familiarize with each item on display.

This course had a total of twelve participants who expressed how pleased they were to learn about the items displayed in the Rare Books Room.
