The MOFA Taiwan Fellowship first Presentation was held on Tuesday, May 16 2023. The topic was International Security Situation and Indo-Pacific Strategy.

Mr. Chung-kwang TIEN, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs attended and also delivered the opening remarks; Dr. Shu-Hsien Tseng, the Director General of National Central Library, Dr. Grace Chang, the Director General of Department of Policy Planning, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Taiwan (R.O.C.) are both attended.

The presentation was moderated by Andy Kang-I CHEN, Ambassador on Home Assignment, Department of Policy Planning, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Taiwan (R.O.C.) and presented by Jean-François Di MEGLIO, Chairman, Asia Centre, Paris, France with the topic: How Would Europe Fit in a “Managed Strategic Competition”?; Dr. Hyun Seung CHO, Research Fellow, Korea Association of Military Studies, Korea with the topic: Taiwan in South Korea’s Indo-Pacific Strategy; and Dr. Aravind YELERY, Associate Fellow, Institute of Chinese Studies, Delhi, India with the topic: Regional and Subnational Attributes to Reinvent Indo-Pacific.

The discussants are: Dr. Tai-lin CHANG, Professor, Department of Public Affairs, Fo-Guang University; Coordinator, EU Forum in Taiwan; Dr. Jyun-yi LEE, Associate Research Fellow, Institute for National Defense and Security Research; and Dr. Ming-shih SHEN, Research Fellow and Director, Institute for National Defense and Security Research.

The number of the attendee is about 60. All the scholars and participants had learned a lot from the event, also known the different viewpoint of international relations of Indo-Pacific.
