Starting in January 2009, the Center for Chinese Studies (CCS) launched a full-text database of all its publications. In 2024, the platform was renamed the Center for Chinese Studies Subject Databases, with the hope that it will be utilized by researchers worldwide.
Browsing the database is free of charge, and its collection includes all past issues of the journals Chinese Studies and the Newsletter for Research in Chinese Studies, the Research Series, the Bibliography Series, and has integrated the original Combined Catalog of Ming Figures’ Writing Collections database.
Where authors have granted permission, the full text of articles is available for search. Searches can be conducted in the following manners: (1) browse by issue, or (2) conduct full-text searches by author, category, title, keyword, and abstract.
The Center for Chinese Studies is deeply grateful to the scholars who have authorized the inclusion of their work in this database. These subject databases are intended solely for academic research purposes; content may be searched, read, and printed for personal, non-commercial use.
We kindly ask users to respect the copyright laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan ) by refraining from any unauthorized reproduction, dissemination, alteration, posting, or broadcasting of the articles contained herein.
