Abstract:

This paper aims to analyze the energy policies aimed at reducing GHG emissions that were developed by Brazil and Taiwan from 1998 to 2018. In this paper, the recommendations made by the UNCED and COP-21 final documents were adopted as a starting point for the normative framework for the energy sector in both countries. Statistical Reports and Laws published by the governments of Brazil and Taiwan were used in this research. The analysis method applied in this research was the mixed method. The paper was divided into four sections and in the end, presents an extensive statistical annex.
