●《漢學研究》「唐宋的訊息傳遞與政令運行」專輯徵稿Chinese Studies Special Issue Welcomes Contributions
《漢學研究》計劃於2009年6月出版「唐宋的訊息傳遞與政令運行」專輯，由中央研究院歷史語言研究所研究員黃寬重教授籌劃主編。本次專輯以唐宋時期為範疇，希望從政治、軍事、外交、制度等層面，討論訊息傳遞的管道、規程、功能及其反映於上情下達、官民溝通等政令運作的實況與效果。論文以中、英文撰寫皆可，篇幅、體例悉依本刊「稿約」和「寫作格式」。

The June 2009 issue of Chinese Studies will be a special issue on “Information Transmission and Policy Enforcement during the Tang and Song Dynasties” headed by Professor Kuan-chung Huang, a research fellow in the Institute of History and Philology at Academia Sinica. This issue will focus on the Tang and Song dynasties, with discussion centered on the various channels, regulations, and effects tied to the transmission of information related to politics, military affairs, diplomacy, and/or government systems and institutions. Specifically, understanding the enforcement and effects of government decrees, or the means by which emperors and officials made their wishes known and the communication methods between officials and the common people is the main goal of this issue. Papers can be written in either Chinese or English. The length and style should conform to Chinese Studies’ “Guide for Submission” and “Style Sheet.”

翻譯司馬遷──跨文化溝通的嘗試

翻譯中文文獻，是歐洲漢學自始便致力從事的重要工作。主講人將以身為編輯與譯者的身分，說明她目前將《史記》選譯為捷克文的計畫。她將仔細檢視從遠方異文化翻譯古籍時，所涉及的一些最重要的方法學問題，側重回答其翻譯工作能獲致何種成就，這同樣也是此類型跨文化溝通特有的意義。
在翻譯時需考量到的有：文獻的意義會因為從原有文化與歷史背景中被譯為新的語言而改變；譯者身兼詮釋者的角色；以及所預設的讀者群等等。主講人除了說明她自己的詮釋與翻譯的策略外，也將提供具體的例子，指出這項工作在早期和現今西方對《史記》的翻譯與研究脈絡中之定位。儘管可預見的是，要完成這樣錯綜複雜的工作困難重重，但主講人仍對這類跨文化的溝通抱持樂觀的態度。

Translating Sima Qian: An Attempt at a Cross-cultural Communication

Translation of Chinese literature has always been an important part of the efforts of European sinology since the beginnings of its existence. The speaker will present the current project of translation of selections from Shiji into the Czech language, of which she is the editor and translator. She will discuss in greater detail some of the most important methodological issues involved in translation of an ancient text from a distant culture, focusing on the question of degree of possible success of such an effort, as well as the very meaning of cross-cultural communication of this kind.
The changing meaning of the text in its original cultural and historical context and the new context into which it is transmitted will be considered, as well as the role of the translator as an interpret and the intended readership. While presenting her own interpretation and translation strategy, the speaker will also locate her efforts in the context of earlier and contemporary Western translations and studies of the Shiji. Concrete examples will be provided. The speaker hopes to deliver an optimistic vision for this kind of cross-cultural communication, despite the awareness of the complexity and obstacles for fulfilling such a complex task.

一、漢學研究中心編印之《漢學研究》為一以中國文史哲研究為主體之國際性學報，園地公開，歡迎海內外學者投稿。
二、本刊自第26卷（2008年）起由半年刊更改為季刊，每年3、6、9、12 月出版。內容包括︰專論、問題與討論、書評等。所有稿件經審查通過後始予刊登。
三、本刊登載以中、英文稿為限。論著稿件中文以不超過二萬五千字為原則；英文稿件以不超過 A4 紙 30 頁為原則；書評稿件以不超過六千字或A4紙8頁為原則。英文稿和書評稿尤所歡迎。

Chinese Studies Welcomes Contributions
Information for Contributors to Chinese Studies
1. Chinese Studies is an international journal with a focus on Chinese literature, history, and philosophy. Scholars from both Taiwan and abroad are welcome to submit papers.
2. Beginning with Volume 26 (2008) Chinese Studies will become a quarterly publication, with issues in March, June, September, and December. Its content consists of articles, issues, and book reviews. Submitted papers are subject to approval by our panel of scholars.
3. Papers in English and Chinese are accepted for consideration. Papers and reviews in English are especially welcome. Papers in English should not exceed 30 pages and reviews should not exceed 8 pages in length. Papers in Chinese should not exceed 25,000 characters and reviews should not exceed 6,000 characters.
